West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan, also known as Aher, says that as the largest regional development bank (RDB) in Indonesia, it is time for Bank Pembangunan Jawa Barat dan Banten, also known as Bank BJB, to compete with national banks.
"This is all the hard work of the whole range of Bank BJB employees, so we thank God that Bank BJB is now the largest RDB in Indonesia,”," Aher said when opening the Business Review Quarter 2 2017 of Bank BJB in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/25). He ascertained that over time, Bank BJB should be able to compete with national banks in Indonesia. "The competition is over with the regional banks, the competition is now with national banks. That is our competitors to compete in growing healthy together to become part of the nation's economic progress," Aher said. To that end, Aher asked Bank BJB to take a more active role in increasing the benefits as widely as possible for the people of Indonesia in general and the people of West Java and Banten in particular. "Advancing the cooperative should be part of the banking mission. Cooperatives please be poked, please see because the cooperative is part of the way we are streamlining revenue," Aher said.
